When strolling through Akihabara in Tokyo, it's impossible to miss the colorful signs for “maid cafés” or the cheerful maids in cosplay-style uniforms inviting passersby to step inside.
During my time in Tokyo I went to 2 maid cafes and was pleasantly surprised. They are definitely ready to deal with foreigners, and are incredibly forgiving.
